About Collecticraft
Collecticraft is the vision of Fabrizio Drago, an emerging Italian designer making waves in the world of 3D printing and digital craftsmanship. At just 24 years old, Fabrizio has quickly gained recognition for his innovative approach to design. His journey began at 18 when a simple encounter with a 3D printer ignited a deep passion, setting him on a path of exploration and creation. Now pursuing a master's degree in Informatics Engineering with a specialisation in graphics and multimedia, he seamlessly blends technical expertise with artistic intuition, pushing the boundaries of 3D-printed design.
The Evolution of a Designer
Fabrizio’s creative journey took an unexpected turn from his early aspirations. Initially inspired by his father’s medical profession, he once envisioned a career in medicine. However, his natural affinity for hands-on craftsmanship found expression in an unexpected place—origami. This fascination with precision, form, and structure soon evolved into an interest in digital modeling and 3D printing, marking the true beginning of his design career.
Design Philosophy and Creative Process
Rooted in the principles of origami, Fabrizio’s approach to design is guided by a deep appreciation for minimalism, efficiency, and structural harmony. His work embodies a seamless fusion of functionality and aesthetics, where clean lines and thoughtful details come together to create impactful yet understated designs. By refining every element to its essential form, he strives to make 3D-printed objects that are not only visually striking but also intuitively practical.
Through Collecticraft, Fabrizio Drago continues to explore the limitless potential of 3D printing, transforming ideas into tangible, meaningful creations that bridge technology and artistry.
